Agnese Guido
Her work is an exploration of the symbology of images through painting and drawing. Looking for the poetic and paradoxical side of reality and the everyday, Agnese Guido tells stories in which the gap between objects and human beings is blurred and malleable, leading the viewer into an anthropomorphic dimension where objects show human feelings and figures are pretexts to depict ideas, as in an allegory of the contemporary.
Making use of a very broad iconography, she does not privilege repetition but rather uses images as a means to narrate through double meanings, evocations, suggestions and symbolic associations of meanings.
