Elias Vitrano
Elias Vitrano's painting takes shape from mystery. On the canvas, the artist tries to restore the mystery of the everyday and the many parts that make it up, such as a dog's footprint in the sand, the curve of a flower weighed down by an insect, the small plants growing over a rock, the reflections in a puddle. When he draws, before starting to paint, he tries to imitate those energies, those mysterious forces, aspects of nature that manifest themselves in a very personal imagery of suspended forms and lands. The technique he feels closest is oil on canvas, with a color palette that in his most recent works is inspired by the neon colors and science fiction illustrations of the 1960s.
