Artist Oksana Pyzh

Oksana Pyzh

1989. Rubizhne Ukraine, Based in Düsseldorf

Oksana Pyzh’s work is centered around themes of memory, the instability of the image, and the fragility of perception.
In her practice, Pyzh explores how personal and collective memories gradually fragment, distort, and dissolve over time, becoming refracted through the prism of the screen. She is interested not only in the image within memory itself, but also in the reasons why it can never remain unchanged or fully preserved.
Working at the intersection of painting, installation, and photography, the artist frequently combines physical materials with the visual logic of digital disintegration, incorporating pixelation, noise, ruptures, and layers of transparency.
