Artist Enne Boi

Enne Boi

Cantù, 1989. Lives and works between Gent and Bologna

From 2008 to 2011 he attended the three-year course of Painting and Visual Arts at the NABA in Milan, where he founded the collective F84; in 2013 he moved to Ghent, Belgium, obtained a master's degree in Fine Arts from the KASK School of Arts and won the first Stitching René Bruynseraede-De Witte prize; he has exhibited his work in solo and group exhibitions at European galleries, institutions and museums.
Enne Boi's artistic reserch concerns the enigmatic nature of figurative painting and his works investigate the structural elements of this medium, often encroaching on the territories of sculpture and installation. As in a sort of rebus, the artist's visual language is based on a juxtaposition of elements in which instinctive gestures and complex allusions coexist.
